HGV Technician – Crewe – Day Shift

Do you have previous experience working as a Technician/Mechanic/ Fitter with HGV maintenance?

We are recruiting an HGV Technician for a leading logistics company at one of their sites in Crewe. This is an additional role to a growing team in a well-established family run company that has been around for 20 years. This company are advocates of being green and efficient to reduce their carbon footprint.

 The Job roles and Responsibilities:

As an HGV Technician you will have the following job roles and responsibilities:

• To look after the defects, MOT prep and servicing of vehicles
• Carry out routine maintenance tasks
• Maintain records on work carried out with job cards and record on the computer
• Set up purchase orders for stock and parts
• Repair mechanical issues with Class 1 vehicles

The requirements:

To be suitable for the position of HGV Technician you will ideally have the following:

• Experience of working as an HGV Technician/ Workshop Fitter/Mechanic
• Experience with Scania fleet would be advantageous
• Knowledge of using diagnostic tools to identify issues
• Computer literate

• The Package:

   The successful candidate for the role of HGV Technician will receive the following package:

  • up to £24 p/h + overtime paid at time and half
  • 4 on 4 off shift patterns – 6am – 6pm
