Front Line Leader – Havant – Manufacturing

We are partnered with a marine manufacturing company based in Havant; a company we have a proven track record in recruiting for. They have a well-known reputation within the marine industry and are part of a global group. You’ll be responsible for leading a production team in supporting and delivering high quality products for a range of yachts and boats.

The job role:

The Front Line Leader will have some of the following responsibilities:

• Lead and motivate the production team to hit targets
• Around 50% of time will be hands on in production with the other 50% monitoring and coaching the team
• Track performance using SQDCP boards and communicate results
• Use Lean and Continuous Improvement tools to improve efficiency
• Manage and record stock movement correctly through cycle counting
• Ensue adherence to process documentation, safety and quality standards

Requirements:

To be suitable for the role of Front Line Leader, you will ideally have some of the following skills and experience:

• A background in Engineering / Manufacturing with technical understanding
• Strong IT and numerical skills
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and Continuous Improvement – low volume & high quality would be preferable
• A proactive, lead by example, approach with excellent attention to detail
